About Us
Welcome to Bauernbräugut in Hallein.
Experience farm life close to the city, including our various animals and farm dog Ella.
As with most farms in the region, we run a small-scale business supplemented by other sources of income Our dairy farm is operated in accordance with organic guidelines and currently has 10 cows.
Inside our open-pen cattle shed as well as in the fields, we have been focused on species-appropriate farming methods for decades. Naturally, our guests are also able to enjoy the high-quality products from our own farm. Including breakfast eggs courtesy of our 220 hens. And that splash of fresh milk in your morning coffee is certain to give a refreshing boost to the start of your day. Your children will also be able to personally experience our cows, little calves, hens, our dogs Ella and Laura, along with everything else going on at our farm.
In our beautifully appointed holiday apartments furnished by local craftsmen, we are able to offer our guests a comfortable holiday in a family-style atmosphere.
Our farm is the ideal base for your excursions in summer as well as winter.
Due to our farm’s central location and ready access to public transportation (ÖBB trains – just a 3-minute walk away, regional trains free of charge), you are in the heart of the country, but never far from wherever you might want to go.
Whether you prefer to experience the sophisticated culture of the Salzburg Festival or simply enjoy one of the most beautiful regions of mountains and lakes in all of Austria, you will be greeted by a greater variety of unforgettable experiences than you ever dreamed possible.
Enjoying a simple-yet-comfortable country lifestyle, outstanding food, a wide range of excursion destinations and outdoor activities, you are able to truly unwind and forget the stresses of the outside world.
For families, our local mountain – the Zinken – is generally the first place they head. Whether for skiing in winter, the Alpine Slide in summer or, in the event of bad weather, a guided tour of the salt mine: it is always a rewarding trip.
Whether you are a beginner or “pro”, the Dachstein West and Flachauwinkl – Zauchensee ski areas are barely 30 to 45 minutes away.
