Alpaca hike in the Carinthian Nockberge: collect blackberries, lingonberries and mushrooms along the way
Experience farm animals up close: calves and kittens, feed guinea pigs and country pigs, watch chickens and ducks waddle and cuddle the alpacas.

Culinary delights on the farm
Own farm products such as salami, bacon, house sausages, ham, liver sausage, meat loaf, eggs from happy chickens, herbal juices and jams, herb garden and wild mountain herbs on the farm. The products are available at the farm.

In winter, the nearby ski resort of Gerlitzen has a plethora of outdoor activities in store such as alpine skiing, ski touring, cross-country skiing and tobogganing. There’s a ski school and ski rental service.

Bad Kleinkirchheim/St. Oswald, Falkert and Turracherhöhe (1 h) promise a diverse winter holiday.

Our alpacas are shorn once a year. The wool is processed and turned into woollen products in Salzburg. We offer them for sale in our alpaca farm shop. You can purchase great socks, beanies, scarfs and headbands with great design, insoles, blankets and diverse accessories. Have a try, you’ll be amazed!

I run a dairy farm and breed alpacas, an activity which I’d like to focus on in the future. I’ve grown very fond of the alpacas. At the moment, I have 9 of them. They are called Mariechen, Pocahontas, Stella, Lilly, Adonis, Piccasso, Casanova, Forrest Fernando and Orkan Hansi. Next to them, pigs are grunting, hens are cackling, ducks are running and cats are meowing on my farm. Particularly the cats love being petted and stroked. The guinea pigs also look forward to being fed. Gina, my dog, is very good-natured and devoted.

Take the motorway A2, A10 or A11 and the exit “Villach/Ossiachersee”, keep driving toward Lake Ossiachersee and take the third exit at the roundabout in the direction of Treffen/Millstättersee/Bad Kleinkirchheim. Follow the federal road B98 “Millstätter Bundesstraße” for about 6 km. You’ll get to a ravine where a road will turn right towards Arriach. Continue on the provincial road L46 “Teuchenlandesstraße” and turn onto the street leading to the village centre of Arriach. Drive past the municipal office and the large church. You’ll cross a bridge. From there, stay on the road towards the left and up the mountain in the directions of Wöllaner Nock/Geigerhütte/Walderhütte. It’s about 4.5 km until you’ll see the church “Wöllaner Kirche” a bit off the road. Drive to this church and continue driving downwards, past the dead end sign and another 1 km down the hill. Our farm is the last one of this street. Have a safe trip.

If you come from Radenthein/Millstättersee, please go to the village centre of Arriach first and then to our farm. Navigation system often tell you to go to Afritz and up the mountain, but this is a private forest road!!
