Tradition and modernity: a harmonious combination!

We have recently completely renovated our holiday flats with great attention to detail. It was always important to us to retain the old charm and cosy character of our house.

By working with local craftsmen and using regional materials, we were able to create a modern home for our guests in our rustic Montafon house.

The sustainable use of our resources was a matter of course for us.

Coffered ceilings and floors made from local wood, soft cork carpets, cosy sheep's wool seat cushions and loving details create a unique feel-good atmosphere in our rooms.

Spend your winter holiday here with us - on the sunny balcony of the Montafon - and enjoy the wonderful view over the snow-covered mountains and valleys.

Winter sports fans can look forward to perfectly groomed pistes in the ski areas in the valley. Winter hiking is possible right here in the village.

Experience insights into farm life directly on the farm. Help with the work in the barn or look over the shoulders of the dairyman in our own dairy.

"SURA KEES"

The Montafon "Sura Kees" is a regional speciality that has played a role in valley life for centuries. The Montafoner have been producing their "Sura Kees" since the 12th century.

As such, the Montafon Valley can be proud of one of the oldest traditions in the cheese production of the Alps.
For several years now, the Montafoner "Sura Kees" has established itself in the marketplace as a regional speciality. Annual "Sura Kees" awards allow producers to display their efforts and successes with the Montafoner cheese.

A tradition which is worth maintaining as part of Montafon Valley history and the livelihood of the farmers in the valley today.

Sustainable living in the Montafon Valley with local produce. Here in the Montafon Valley farming practices are closely related to the preservation of the natural landscape. The region's farmers go to great lengths to care for the mountainside meadows and the Alps of the Montafon Valley. Cultivated agriculture and healthy food are the most valuable results.

We keep different breeds of cows on our farm, such as Montafon Braunvieh, Brown Swiss and Jersey.

Our donkey Cindy, the rabbits, dog and cat are always happy to be stroked.

The lively goats like to explore the neighbourhood and are happy about every visit.

Chickens and pigs are housed in a separate barn above our farm. They are also happy to welcome guests.

You are welcome to take a look in our barn at any time and help with feeding and watering the calves.

Leave the motorway at the Bludenz exit and continue to the roundabout. Leave the roundabout at the 2nd exit. Follow the road for about 2 kilometres until a sign to the left says "Bartholomäberg". After about 5 kilometres you will reach the village centre. Our house is about 2 kilometres further on. Follow the signs to "Kellerstraße".
