Imst Region UNIQUE NATURE, UNIQUE MOMENTS
What’s so special here?
-
From the grotto “Blaue Grotte” to the church “Johanneskirche” in the town centre, the stream Schinderbach has eroded the sediments and rocks of the fluvial terraces carving out a gorge of 1.5km in length (altitude difference of 250m). The rich diversity of plants, flowers, animals and rocks that can be found in the “Rosengartenschlucht” is awe-inspiring.
-
Are you ready for a big adventure? Europe’s largest outdoor playground features everything a nature enthusiast could possibly desire. A large lake for swimming, a 250m zip line, giant swings, climbing tours, water slides, to name but a few of the countless fun-filled activities of “AREA 47”.
- Get your adrenaline pumping on the alpine coaster, the world’s longest Alpine roller coaster. An exciting adventure for the young and the young at heart! In summer or, wrapped up warm, in winter - don’t miss out on it while you’re staying in the Imst region.
This region is not only a paradise for climbers but also steeped in history. The old Roman trade route “Via Claudia Augusta” passed through this area.
