About Us
Our mountain cabin “Adambauerhütte” is a rustic and comfortable cabin that was once used as a shelter by shepherds. It’s set in a picturesque location at an altitude of 1,750 m surrounded by the Nockberge mountains.

Surrounded by flowering alpine pastures, you can take in the breathtaking panoramic mountain view with the Hochalmspitze (3,360 m) that stands out as the highest peak in the Ankogel Group and is therefore also named “Queen of the Tauern Range”. Watching the sun set behind this glacier is an unforgettable experience.
The mountain cabin “Adambauerhütte” is the ideal starting point for countless hikes and country walks in the Nockberge mountains. Langenock, Stileck and Rabenkofel are only some of the potential destinations. Keen hikers can even go to the summit of Plattennock or Rosennock (2,440 m).
Along the 34-km scenic drive “Nockalmstraße” which is arguably one of the most beautiful and diverse scenic drives in the Alps, you can enjoy Carinthia’s real beauty and polish up your knowledge at the numerous free exhibitions.
Visit the Hohe Tauern National Park, the by far most extensive nature reserve in the Alps. Explore Austria’s highest dam and one of the largest dams in Europe, the “Kölnpreinsperre” at an altitude of 1,900 m, with its unique highlight: the vantage point “AIRWALK”.
