You can tell by the gnaw marks: there’s a beaver around. Alpine ibex also call Vorarlberg their home. The large forests attract them. If you’re lucky, you can even watch them when they’re grazing. For a long time, this species was on the brink of extinction. But now, nature comes back. That doesn’t come as a surprise since this province is blessed with an unequalled diversity of natural habitats and ecosystems. Woods with beech, fir and spruce trees alternate with moorlands and green meadows. The scenery of the Alps is the most picturesque backdrop.
