Cosy and Warm in the Holiday Home “Adamhaus”

After a day out spent skiing in Bad Kleinkirchheim, a sleigh ride in the Langalmtal Valley or ice skating on a frozen lake, you can look forward to some warmth and relaxation in the private sauna in the house.

Our wood-fired stove and the infrared heating bring comfort and warmth to the room - for cosy evenings with your loved ones.

Enjoy, relax, ... Immerse yourself in nature. On the sunny hillside above the village of Radenthein near Lake Millstätter See, you’ll find Kaning, a hamlet consisting of several mountain farms. The holiday home “Adamhaus” is set at an altitude of 1,160 m. Like an eyrie, it’s perched high above the Gegendtal valley. It comes with luxurious amenities. Thanks to the unique location, you can take in panoramic views beyond compare. We’ve renovated the 400-year-old house with a great deal of love and dedication. Today, it offers 180 m² of living area for a maximum of 7 people.

Surrounded by the Nockberge Mountains and Carinthia’s lakes, the holiday home “Adamhaus” is ideally located and well connected to numerous attractions in Carinthia.

We, the Stinig family - your hosts, spend the summer with our grazing animals in the mountain cabin “Veidlhütte”, an easy walk of approx. 1.5 hours from the Adamhaus. There, we herd our cattle and produce dairy products and cheese. In the mountain cabin “Veidlhütte”, we serve our guests delicious snacks. Our guests have the opportunity to drive with us to the mountain cabin in the Langalmtal Valley by car (10 minutes’ drive). For our guests, the road is for free.

What to do in the surroundings: Skiing and spas in Bad Kleinkirchheim, hikes and country walks in the Langalmtal Valley, gemstone museum “Granatium”, lakes Afritzersee and Millstättersee, panoramic road “Nockalmstraße”, alpine zoo and much more.

We kindly ask you not to bring any pets.

In our mountain cabin, we mainly serve home-made products such as cold snacks, pork roast, Austrian cuisine and fresh fish. There are several restaurants, taverns and shops in the surroundings.

In summer, all of our animals are grazing on the alpine pastures high up in the mountains. If you like, you can go there, to our private mountain cabin. It’s accessible by car. For our guests, the road is for free.

Snow White and the Seven Dwarfs

As in the fairytale by the Brothers Grimm, there are seven tiny beds, seven tiny plates, seven tiny spoons and much more. The holiday home features four tastefully furnished bedrooms for seven people in total. Two toilets and a spacious bathroom with floor heating - that’s the way to enjoy a holiday to the fullest.

A spacious kitchen-living room with corner bench and a living room with large couch to spend cosy evenings in - you’ll have enough space to feel comfortable.

Two spacious balconies featuring tables and benches as well as seven loungersand a barbecue area are inviting places to spend the hours around the house.

As it gets cooler in autumn or in the evening, you can enjoy warming yourselves up in the private sauna.
