About Us

The Mountain Cabin “Badstube”

.... is a comfortable and particularly lovingly furnished log cabin with hot tub & outdoor sauna.

It features a kitchen with dining corner, a sofa bed, a bathroom with wooden bathtub and shower, a toilet and, upstairs, three small rooms for up to 6 people. There’s running water, a stove, a water heater and a hot pot, all of which are to be heated with wood. Wood is stored in a small cottage behind the cabin. Of course, you can also chop the wood yourself or collect fire wood for an evening campfire. The hot tub and the small outdoor sauna are outside with a special tree shower next to it.

Of course, there’s no Wi-Fi in our mountain cabin.

There’s also no electricity.

You can charge your mobile phones using power banks.

A cool root cellar with enough storage room for your supplies is hidden behind the log cabin. It’s also a good idea to use small containers that you can thoroughly close and cool in the water through. Our mountain cabins (the “Leebhütte” is only a 15 minutes’ walk from here) are nestled in the lovely Nockberge mountains at the foot of the Kaiserburg at an altitude of 1,750-1,800 m. Should you cross the mountain ridge on your hike or country walk, you’ll reach the staffed mountain cabin “Walderhütte” and, a bit further off, the “Geigerhütte” ... the well-known World Cup venue Bad Kleinkirchheim is located right behind the mountain. This means that you can take the cable car from the top station of the Kaiserburg down to the valley and visit one of the thermal baths.

How to reach us: 10 km from Patergassen, access road to the cabin.

Animals

In summer, from the beginning of June to the end of September, my cattle family spends its summer vacation on the alpine pastures!

This freedom is extraordinary....graze on delicious mountain herbs first....get some rest....enjoy the view....drink fresh spring water...lounge in the sun....take a shower in the rain....book a hail massage....run and jump :-) .....If you’re absolutely quiet, you can hear them sing because they feel so good up here, so close to heaven.

Room Mountain Cabin

It features a kitchen with dining corner, a bathroom with wooden bathtub and shower, a toilet and, upstairs, three small rooms for up to 6 people. There’s running water but no electricity. The oven and water heater are heated with wood. Wood is stored in a small cottage behind the cabin. Of course, you can also chop the wood yourself or collect fire wood for an evening campfire. A special tree shower next to the outdoor sauna allows you to refresh yourself. There’s no Wi-Fi in our mountain cabin. A cool root cellar is hidden behind the cabin. The cabin is nestled in the lovely Nockberge mountains at the foot of the Kaiserburg at an altitude of 1,700 m. How to reach us: 10 km from the village of Patergassen via a private access road. A car with a higher ground clearance is useful.
