Our farm Ebnerhof is nestled in the rolling hills of the Mühlviertel region. For half a century, this farm has been working according to organic farming principles. Maria and Josef will welcome you here!

Regular farm life is governed by the seasons.

In spring, the fruit trees around our farmhouse are flowering. It’s a truly magical scenery. The fresh grass is coloured in light green. Our goats are looking forward to being outside on the pastures. Our bees start to collect honey. And we are also happy to come out of hibernation.

In summer, the grain fields mature. We make hay. Intense scents and dusty air. The tractors are busy. The harvest is about to begin. Our old combine harvester does its job. We pick flowers for our teas manually and dry them alongside with mint and balm.

In autumn, we harvest potatoes and collect fruit in our traditional orchard. At our neighbour’s farm, we press fresh apple juice. There’s an array of vegetables and cabbage on the field. The last tomatoes of the year are ripening in the glasshouse. The machinery needs a service and will then be stored in the garage. The leaves on the trees change colour.

In winter, the fields and meadows have time to rest. And so have we, the farmers. We take care of our animals. Cows and goats. Pigs and chicken. And we thin our forest. Apart from that there’s also time to drink a cup of tea, sit next to the tiled stove and make plans for the year to come. Time to take a deep breath and regenerate.

We will discuss this in detail with you because we would like to make sure that we can meet your wishes. Please note: You can also book the breakfast basket just for selected days. How to get here by public transport:

By bus (nearest bus stop: “Arnreit Umfahrung”, 500 m)
From the bus stop to our farm: walk
Usually, there’s a bus 2-5 times a day on weekdays and 2-5 times a day on weekends and national holidays.
By train (nearest train station: “Iglmühle”, 5 km)
From the train station to our farm: taxi
We are happy to organise a taxi from the train station for you. Please contact us before your arrival.
Please note: The train does not depart from Linz main station. It departs from a smaller train station called “Mühlkreisbahnhof” in Linz-Urfahr. From the main station, the tram lines 4 and 5 as well as the “Pöstlingbergbahn” take you there.

Our products reflect the diversity of our farm. In our farm shop, we offer fine organic food. Find sweet fruit on the trees in our traditional orchard and on the shrubs. There are vegetables and cabbage on the fields and different types of mint on the herb fields.

We sell the following organic food products from our farm:

Grain, flour, flakes, herb teas, honey, propolis, fruit spirit, fruit brandy, beef, eggs, potatoes, muesli...

Our fruit trees provide us with:

Cherries, apples, pears, quinces, apricots, nuts

Organic breakfast box

You can savour the diverse, colourful and precious gifts of nature at breakfast. We are happy to prepare a breakfast basket with organic food from our farm and other local farms for you. Which culinary delights can you expect? We will discuss this in detail with you because we would like to make sure that we can meet your wishes.

Our farm is home to cows with their calves, beautifully dotted goats called Tauernschecken, chicken, bees, our cats “Maxi” and “Wuschl” and sometimes also two pigs... You’re welcome to pay all of them a visit or help with the feeding.

In summer, our animals are grazing on the pastures surrounding the farmhouse. In winter, they lie on soft beds of straw in the barn. There’s always one of them crowing, grunting, meowing, mooing or bleating...

Earthworms are our very special friends. They dig through the earth and provide our fields with fertile soil. Countless hedges and traditional orchards are a refuge for insects and birds.

Holiday Apartment "Ebnerhof"

1 - 4 People

The apartment has been renovated in a simple and elegant style using larch wood and clay plaster. It’s located in a separate building on the farm and is ideal for two adults travelling with up to two children.

It features a large living room with open-plan kitchen, pull-out couch and tiled stove which brings warmth and comfort to cold winter days. There’s a small bedroom and a bathroom.
The kitchen is very well equipped featuring electric cooker, dishwasher, electric kettle, mixer, coffee machine, grain flaker and all kinds of pans and pots. Different spices, flakes for muesli and herb tea we picked ourselves are provided.
The bathroom comes with a bathtub, floor heating, washing machine and hair dryer.
Bed linen, towels and tea towels included.
There’s high-speed Wi-Fi in the entire apartment (glass fibre connection).
A window (or door) connects you with the adjacent garden and the sunny terrace featuring a breath-taking view. Sun loungers and sun umbrella are provided, of course.

Arriving by train:

Direct train from Linz in the direction of Aigen-Schlägl. Exit at the train station “Iglmühle”. We are happy to pick you up! Important! The train does not depart from the main station (Hauptbahnhof) but from a smaller train station called “Mühlkreisbahnhof”. It’s an approx. 20 min’ ride on the tram (from the main station).

Arriving by bus:

From Linz to the bus stop “Arnreit Umfahrung” (approx. 1 h). The bus stop is in walking distance to our farm (approx. 500 m).

Arriving by car:

Drive on the federal road B127 leading from Linz to Rohrbach. In Arnreit, turn left at the car centre and follow the road for about 500 m to our farm Ebnerhof.
