In our Mühlgartl, where until about 80 years ago the mill was still operated with the stream, we have created a place to feel good, relax and take a break under running farm operation. Our Mühlgartl is located directly on the Gebirsbach Taurach, with direct access. You can barbecue, make a campfire, relax on the lounger or simply listen to the stream.
You want to experience a farm, you can do that with us. Whether sowing barley or potatoes, hoeing or harvesting or making hay, threshing barley - looking after the cattle in the barn in winter or visiting the cattle on the mountain pasture in summer. In summer, feed and stroke the petting animals such as cats, rabbits, goats and sheep... It's hard to get bored here.

Discover the amazing mountain world of Lungau, with its quiet valleys and breathtaking mountains, on foot or by bicycle! Our ranch, as we lovingly referred to her, lies in the heart of Lungau at approximately 1100 m above sea level. It is part of the region of Mariapfarr. This is the perfect starting point for exploring Lungau. Larger neighboring areas include Mauterndorf, Tamsweg, and St. Michael.
Make yourself at home with us! After a restorative night, enjoy the view of the beautiful mountains in Lungau during breakfast. After an adventurous day, relax and watch the sun set behind the Schlafenden Riesen (the Sleeping Giant mountain). When temperatures in Lungau's mountain world begin to drop, the hearts of true-blue winter sports fans warm up in eager anticipation. Boundless variety is also assured in Salzburg's Lungau for big and small: guaranteed by the Katschberg-Aineck, Grosseck-Speiereck, Fanningberg and Obertauern ski areas with over 300 kilometers of snowy pistes as well as countless, perfectly tracked cross-country ski trails.
But the sunniest region in Austria doesn't only invite you to go alpine and Nordic skiing. With its seven side valleys, the Lungau offers a wealth of mountain and summit tours, generally regarded as an Eldorado for ski tourers. Enjoying the meteorological benefits of elevations above 1,000 meters, Salzburg's Lungau is an ideal base for many magical ski tours of all difficulty levels. A broad and clearly marked trail network invites winter hikers, walkers, nature lovers and guests in search of nothing other than pure wintertime happiness to set out on unforgettable winter and snowshoe hikes.
