Welcome to the Bärenreit mountain farm in Stuhlfelden in the Hohe Tauern National Park!

Our mountain farm is situated at 1,000 metres above sea level in an absolutely secluded location above Stuhlfelden and Mittersill in the Hohe Tauern National Park. Enjoy the quiet location and the fantastic view of the surrounding mountains!

Our newly built, high-quality equipped holiday flat with pine wood bedroom offers space for up to 4 people and is ideal for couples and families looking for a holiday away from the hustle and bustle. In summer, you can access the terrace with cosy seating and garden shower directly from the living area.

On our mountain farm we practice dairy farming. The cows spend their summer - from mid-June to early September - on the alpine pasture. The rest of the year they are right here on the farm and we invite our guests to take a look in the barn with us. Our rabbits, sheep and goats look forward to a few strokes from our guests.

In summer, you can set off on various hikes directly from the farm. Mushroom and berry hunters will also find what they are looking for. We will gladly give you tips on where to find them. A special experience are also the wild animals that show themselves again and again in the fields around the house thanks to our quiet location. A barbecue and pedal tractor are now available for our guests in front of the house!

The Hohe Tauern National Park region and the villages of Stuhlfelden and Mittersill offer a wide range of sports and leisure activities. Hiking, mountain tours, cycling, swimming, excursions to the Krimml Waterfalls and much more await you.

Winter holiday at the mountain farm Bärenreit
If you like to spend your winter holiday in peace and quiet, you've come to the right place. Snowshoe hikes and ski tours start right outside the front door. Tobogganing is also possible in the immediate vicinity of the farm.
Skiers must first drive to Mittersill by car. From there, there are two ski bus lines, one to Hollersbach to the valley station of the Panorama cable car, the other over the Pass Thurn to Kitzbühel.

Directions
Our mountain farm is located in the municipal area of Stuhlfelden, but the approach is via Mittersill on a well-maintained mountain road about 2.5 km long. In winter driving conditions, a four-wheel drive or snow chains are absolutely necessary!

Our cows are on the mountain pasture from mid-June to the beginning of September. During the rest of the year, we are happy to offer you raw milk from our cows. Depending on availability, we also offer eggs from our happy chickens.
