Our Sonnenhuab farm is located in the middle of the Salzburg mountains on the sun terrace of the climatic health resort of St. Veit im Pongau, at the foot of the local mountain "Heukareck". You will find us near the edge of the forest between Schwarzach and St. Johann im Pongau and we are an ideal starting point for countless excursions on foot, by bike or by car into the diverse SalzburgerLand.

On our farm you will find a play area with a playground, a trampoline, a sandpit, vehicles and a flying fox in the orchard. Deckchairs and a Hollywood swing invite you to relax and linger.

We can always use a helping hand with our daily stable rounds and the daily work around the farm. You are welcome to look over our shoulders and get to know farm life. Let's get the eggs out of the henhouse together, feed and pamper our animals, help in the fields with the hay harvest or the fences and after a busy day we taste our fruit from our own orchard and watch our animals grazing and romping around in the meadows. Our calves, rabbits and chickens are already looking forward to the expectant eyes and happy smiles of your children.

In summer, there are many excursion options, wonderful swimming pools and bathing lakes to enjoy. For example, the famous "Liechtensteinklamm", the Plankenau swimming lake or the Schwarzach swimming pool are less than 5 minutes away by car or 15 minutes on foot. The market town of St. Veit promises a rare nature experience in summer.

If the weather permits in winter, you will also find a small ice skating rink, a toboggan run and lots of toys for perfect fun in the snow at the farm. In just 5 minutes by car you can access the lifts of the Snow Space St. Johann - Alpendorf and enjoy 210 kilometres of pistes, 70 lifts and 85 ski huts all the way to Flachau. The surrounding ski areas of Grossarl/Dorfgastein, Hochkönig and the Gastein Valley are also between 15 and 30 minutes away from us by car. Depending on the snow conditions, there are also smaller lifts in St. Veit and Goldegg, which offer fun and enjoyment for the whole family. Numerous cross-country ski trails and snowshoe hiking trails invite you to enjoy our beautiful mountain world.

Slip into your warm boots and explore the snow-covered surroundings on a winter hike. An unforgettable experience for nature lovers!

Daily fresh eggs from our free-range and happy hens, various seasonal delicacies and jams, beeswax products, home-distilled schnapps from our own fruit, home-made farmhouse bread and our full "Sonnenhuab-Kisterl" with farm produce can be purchased from us in our 24-hour self-service farm shop or ordered in advance. (depending on availability)

There are currently 5 calves, 2 mini ponies, 45 chickens and 3 rabbits on our farm, which are very happy to receive daily visits and cuddles.

by car:
Coming from the A10 Tauern motorway from Salzburg or Villach, take the motorway exit Knoten Pongau/Bischofshofen onto the B311 towards Schwarzach im Pongau. In Schwarzach im Pongau, turn left onto the Salzach bridge (towards the railway station). At the end of the bridge, turn right and follow the road left over the railway crossing. Turn left at the crossroads and follow the road for around 1km. You will find our farm after the settlement (after the playground) on the right-hand side.

By train:
You can reach Schwarzach/St. Veit railway station from all directions. From there you can reach us comfortably by taxi in approx. 5 minutes or on foot in approx. 10-15 minutes.
