Bergerhof

We serve you homemade and regional delicacies in the morning: Mmm delicious, what that smells like in the morning. How can a day start better than with a lovingly prepared breakfast? We serve you homemade natural yoghurt from our organic hay milk, freshly milked organic hay milk from our cows and smoked bacon and house sausages from the Bergerhof. Our homemade jams, among other things, provide sweet treats for the palate. We are particularly proud of our plum jam from our plum tree - this is probably almost the only plum tree that grows and thrives at the foot of the Großglockner. All of the cheese for our breakfast comes from the cheese dairy at Figerhof in Kals am Großglockner. The goat and organic hay milk used for the cheese was “born in Kals, grew up in the beautiful meadows and alpine pastures and is refined in the cheese dairy at the foot of the Großglockner”. The quark is also purchased from the cheese dairy. This in turn is a wonderful basis for our homemade curd spreads with fresh herbs from our garden. The homemade farmer's bread is baked by farmer Monika according to an old family recipe. And the rolls are delivered fresh from the local baker from Monday to Saturday. When it comes to a real farm breakfast, the breakfast egg is of course a must. The eggs come from our own chickens. When it gets too much for our chickens :-) we buy eggs from happy chickens in East Tyrol.

We have cows, chicken, cats and pigs on our farm. The dairy cows spend the summer on the Alm (mountain meadow) in Dorfertal. The young cows join them a little later in the season beneath the Blauspitz.
There is never a dull moment on a farm. In the winter our guests have the opportunity to work with us in the barn. During the summer, guests can experience the process of bringing hay in from the fields and from the mountain meadows first-hand.
