Our traditional organic farm Biohof Auinger – aka Geierl z’Gstötten – is an oasis of well-being for your holiday! Whether you’re seeking activities or relaxation – a holiday at our organic farm will be a very special experience!
Far away from the hustle and bustle, you’ll stay in modern and spacious holiday apartments with a view of the nature park Attersee-Traunsee and the rolling hills of the Hausruckviertel region. When the weather is fine, you can enjoy breakfast on the beautiful terrace or private balcony.
Children will have lots of fun going on a walk with our ponies Fritzi and Ilvy. Our rabbits and chicken are looking forward to some feed. Of course, kids can go to the henhouse and collect fresh eggs for breakfast! A trampoline, a variety of games and toys, a sandpit and lots of pedal cars guarantee a fun-filled time. They can also take some street chalk and colour up their summer holiday in the farmyard!
Thanks to the quiet and yet central location of our organic farm, you can go on countless day trips in your car or start a beautiful hike or cycling tour right from the doorstep. At the golf courses in Regau and Attersee, you can tee off taking in the most spectacular view. Around Lake Attersee, there are plenty of spots to go scuba diving. Enjoy crystal-clear waters, an amazingly clear vision and plenty of attractions for divers such as the prehistoric pile dwellings in Nußdorf, listed as a UNESCO World Heritage site. The thermal baths and spas in Bad Ischl, Bad Schallerbach and Bad Hall as well as the shopping centre “Varena” in Vöcklabruck are the ideal destinations for rainy days.
The village of Aurach am Hongar with approx. 2,000 inhabitants is located in the nature park “Attersee-Traunsee” in the district of Vöcklabruck. Our organic farm is set on a quiet hill and boasts a beautiful view of the mountain Hongar and the Hausruckviertel region.
It’s located only 6km from the exit “Regau” and 8km from the exit “Seewalchen”. So, the highway is just around the corner. The town of Vöcklabruck is a 13-minutes’ drive. Those of you who travel by train should get off at the train station in Attnang-Puchheim. We are happy to organise a shuttle service from the train station to our farm!
Our organic farm is located near the lakes Attersee (7km) <strong>and Traunsee (14km). Other beautiful lakes such as Mondsee, Irrsee, Wolfgangsee, Langbathseen, Laudachsee, Schwarzensee, etc. are not far either – swim in a different lake everyday - you can’t do that anywhere else but here!
We – Marlene and Rupert with Jonas (11) and Julia (5) – are the farmers, animal whisperers, landscape maintenance specialists and hosts.
