About Us
Genuine alpine hut in a truly secluded location
Pure relaxation and nature await you in the sunny location of the Dorferhütte on the Kreischberg. From here you have a breathtaking view of the Kreischberg and the entire Mur Valley. This magical place offers you the perfect opportunity to recharge your batteries and enjoy precious time with your loved ones.
The hut is built in genuine Swiss stone pine log construction, and most of the furnishings are also made of Swiss stone pine. After years of vacancy, we lovingly restored it over the course of three years and set up a small wellness area at the back.
When you enter the hut, you will be immediately impressed by the careful and detailed furnishings. The spacious living room with fireplace will make you feel right at home.
The kitchen is fully equipped with an electric stove, oven, microwave, fridge with freezer compartment and a capsule coffee machine. With a double room on the first floor, a double room upstairs and a large children's room, there is plenty of space for two families if required.
Enjoy breakfast on the sunny terrace where you can really unwind. After a relaxing sauna, the sun loungers invite you to relax and sunbathe. In the evening you can admire the starry sky and end the day by the fire.
Suckler cows are kept on the nearby farm. There are also two ponies (Paula and Penelope) and other small animals that love to be stroked.
Also a highlight in winter: The Kreischberg ski region is only 3.3 km away and offers you 40 kilometers of slopes up to over 2,000 m above sea level. You can also go on numerous wonderful ski tours in Murau.
About Us
The centrally heated alpine hut is also a pleasure in winter, the Finnish sauna with bio steam oven invites you to warm up on cold winter days. A wood-burning stove in the kitchen also provides pleasant warmth and an absolute hut feeling.
The Kreischberg with its 40 kilometers of pistes is only 3km away, and there are also numerous touring options nearby.
You can buy regional specialties in the Murau farm store.
We have around 30 cattles: cows, calves and the bull Alfred are out on the pasture all summer, and in our cowshed in winter.
Two ponies: Paula and Penelope, around the house all year round. Although they are not ridden, they are easy to lead and love to be stroked.
Two cats: Schmätzchen and Hummel make sure that our yard stays mouse-free.
There are also 7 chickens for the egg supply, and a rooster who ensures peace and quiet.
