About Us
Welcome to the Edlfellner holiday farm!
Our traditional family farm is only 7 km from Linz (700 m above sea level), high above the “town of Bruckner, the famous composer” and yet in a quiet location. Combine a holiday in the countryside with a variety of activities in the city!
Spoilt by the magnificent view reaching as far as to the Dachstein glacier, you can even watch the annual cultural outdoor event “Klangwolke”, the main event of the Bruckner festival, from your window. Interesting museums, cultural events, high-quality concerts in the new music theatre and a wide range of shopping opportunities - Linz, Upper Austria’s capital city, has it all.
In the holiday apartment for 4 guests you can still fall asleep peacefully in the evening and wake up in the morning with a view of nature. If you wish, we can put together a breakfast box for you (on request). For an enjoyable start to the day!
Our farm is home to cows, calves, cats, chickens and Stupsi, the rabbit - all the animals love to be stroked. Fetching your own egg for breakfast from the henhouse, being there when a calf is born or cuddling with the kittens in the straw - these are the moments of pure joy on our farm!
In the woods surrounding our farm, hiking and cycling tours are very popular (e.g. around the lookout tower Giselawarte, at 900 metres). On the “planet trail” in Lichtenberg, a themed trail for children, you can experience and explore the dimensions of our solar system. A variety of activities from swimming to horse riding and tennis are just a few kilometres from our farm.
On our farm you can learn more about rural handicrafts such as bobbin lace-making, Hardanger embroidery, cross-stitch, monastery work and wreath-making. Take a look over our shoulders. We would be delighted to show you this cultural heritage! Our “Bauernkrapfen”, a traditional fried yeast dough pastry, made according to an old recipe, are always very popular and you are welcome to help us make them.
The Biberauer family looks forward to your visit!
