The holiday home “Lärchenhütte” (“Larch Cabin”) was newly built in 2016 It’s set in a picturesque, sunny and secluded location at an altitude of 1,250 m near the Lavanttal valley, eastern Carinthia. Our working farm is only 100 mfrom the cabin.
Relax in a cosy ambience with 110 m² of comfortable living area, private sauna and large sunny terrace. The holiday home is comfortably furnished. Featuring 3 bedrooms and 2 bathrooms, it boasts plenty of space for up to 10 people. The fully furnished open-plan kitchen with sunlit living area feat. panoramic window is a place of well-being for your family holiday. Far away from large hotels, you and your family will find a very special holiday destination. Relax and unwind as you take in a breathtaking panoramic mountain view of the Koralpe.

A winter holiday of your dreams...
Feel the magical silence of winter on our farm, in a beautiful, picturesque setting surrounded by mountains. An idyllic landscape invites you to take a winter walk, go snowshoeing, cross-country skiing or ski touring - off the pistes. The ski resort “Weinebene” with a reliable snow cover is only a 12 minutes’ drive. Small but mighty. It’s the perfect place for families with children. Enjoy 50 ha of pistes, 7 lifts incl. magic carpet for beginners, ski school and skis for rent. Other ski resorts in the surroundings: Koralpe and Klippitztörl (45 min. drive).
Winter activities on the farm... * a hill suitable for tobogganing & sledging - you can borrowtoboggans and sledges for free * daily visit to the barn where horses, cows, goats, chicken, rabbits and friends live * playground with swings, slide and pedal cars * hiking trails starting from the farm house - free maps
Our winter specials:
Enjoy Christmas time on the farm! A wonderfully fragrant Christmas tree from our private forest and a plate with home-made biscuits make for the magical ambience at Christmas eve with your loved ones. If you like, you can join farmer Franz when he burns incense in a small iron pan following an old tradition.
New Year’s Eve for the whole family on the farm - the last evening of the year starts with a 3-course dinner incl. appetiser. The highlight for the children: tobogganing on the floodlit toboggan run next to our house. Outside, you can warm yourselves up around the campfireand have a cup of mulled cider or tea. We welcome the new year with fireworks and a midnight snack from the buffet in the farm house.
During school holidays in February, we organise a nightly floodlit toboggan run once a week.
A highlight for kids and an unforgettable experience for the whole family. Great fun tobogganing right on our farm!

All our animals to pet as well as our horses and ponies are on the farm throughout the whole year. The suckler cows and their calves spend summer on the pastures and meadows near our farm.
