About Us
The Haaghof is a square building with a middle courtyard in a style typical of this region. It lies on a hill above Ertl at approximately 650 m over sea level. The stunning landscape of the foothills of the Alps is an invitation to relax and enjoy yourself, to hike and ride bicycles.
Day trip destinations (Waidhofen/Ybbs, Steyr, Stift Seitenstetten, Sonntagberg,...) and activities (archery, snow skiing, wildlife park, public swimming pools and swimming in the Ybbs...) are all nearby.
About Us
The Forsteralm is the perfect setting for a wonderful family winter vacation. The ski area for beginners is approximately 30 minutes away by car. More advanced skiers will enjoy the Hochkar area, which can be reached in just under an hour.
Sample our homemade items and purchase some to take home! Different types of jams, apple- and pear cider, a variety of schnapps to choose from, and fresh eggs from our hens. Locally sourced and homemade bread, honey, sheep cheese, smoked meats, country bacon, milk and many other items can be purchased at surrounding farms.
Sandy, our Muensterland dog, is full of energy and loves it when people play with her. We also raise chickens, miniature goats, cats and rabbits. All of our animals love to be cuddled and petted! Bertl and Heidi, our miniature goats, are the stars of the show. They love to be around people and will even go on walks with a leash.
