About Us
We warmly welcome you to Haus Brügga, an organic farm in a sunny location on the outskirts of Brand.
The romantic mountain village of Brand lies at the end of the Brandner Valley, at the foot of the Schesaplana, at 2,965 metres the highest mountain in the Rätikon. The quiet yet convenient location is ideal for a relaxing, idyllic family holiday.
On our organic farm, children learn about farm life! They feed our mother cows and Angus bull (DM Polo) with fresh hay and love to stroke their calves and the many rabbits. The dog Coco - a pure-bred Border Collie - is lovely and wants to greet all guests.
Our holiday farm has been lovingly renovated and equipped with every comfort. We offer 2 holiday flats (2-6 persons) with 3 separate bedrooms, kitchen-living room, bathroom and balcony, private entrance, quietly situated and with a fantastic view of the Brandnertal mountains.
The beauty of Brand is that you will find everything you need for relaxation, fun and variety in the immediate vicinity - your car has a break.
Hiking in the Brandnertal and enjoying the peace and quiet is a dream come true. The hiking opportunities are right on our doorstep. Additional sports options near our house include cycling, mountain biking, swimming, horse riding, golfing and climbing.
With its natural swimming pool in the centre of the village (free of charge for our guests) and a wide range of restaurants, Brandnertal guarantees relaxation and variety! While the parents relax in a deckchair in the sunny garden, the children can play in the sandpit, swing or race on the toy tractor!
As a special experience, we like to accompany our guests to our own alpine pasture "Schattenlagand", where we look after our animals every day! From there there are great hiking trails and a marvellous view over the valley.
Our family (Maria & Werner with children Natalie and Patric) is looking forward to welcoming you!
Send us an e-mail and we will be happy to check your preferred dates!

Highlights
About Us
Welcome to the Brügga holiday farm, at 1,050 m above sea level, near the Palüdbahn cable car, Brandnertal ski area.
In winter you can go skiing or cross-country skiing (the cross-country ski trail leads right past our house), snowshoeing, night tobogganing on floodlit toboggan runs, toboggan safari (hiking & tobogganing on a signposted toboggan safari route. Visit the Backyards snow park.
A delicious meal is served in the Alpen-Tenne restaurant, which is only 5 minutes away from our house. Furthermore, the Restaurant Gonna - right next to the Palüdbahn mountain station - with fresh wood-fired pizza, breakfast specials, happy hour or the Alpengasthof Palüdhütte at 1,700 m offer the best food as well as the Restaurant Niggenkopf Stüble right on the winter hiking trail (terrace with deckchairs and panoramic views). Enjoy the "mountain breakfast" every Sunday with products from the region in the Einhorn - with a marvellous terrace with a view of the mountains.
In winter, the multi-day ski pass is valid in all ski areas in the Montafon and Brandnertal. A total of 273 kilometres of pistes and 74 cable cars and chairlifts await you in the Montafon-Brandnertal ski area.
The "Bsundrige Zit - adventure programmes for enjoyable encounters with nature" give you time and space to discover winter with trained guides: Travelling by dog sled, on a Segway in the snow, by horse-drawn carriage through the Brand in the evening, Palüd Exquisit.
CULINARY DELIGHTS
With us you can not only enjoy nature, but also savour delicious home-made jams and tea from our own garden herbs.
Good things from the farm!
Our farm is run organically. We do not use any form of artificial fertiliser. The green fodder for all animals is the best mountain and meadow hay and comes from our own meadows and mountain pastures around and above Brand. Cereal mixtures from controlled organic farming are used as concentrated feed and grain feed for our chickens.
PURE NATURAL PRODUCTS FROM ORGANIC FARMING
- Eggs from happy chickens
- Potatoes | We grow our own potatoes every year.
- Courgettes | Courgettes are easy to grow, even for inexperienced gardeners.
- Jams from our own fruit and self-collected fruit | currants, raspberries, elderberries, delicacies: “Tannenwipfel honey” (while stocks last)
- Home-made apple cider vinegar (1 litre of cider and 100 ml of vinegar mother) Bottles of home-made apple cider vinegar and home-made herbal vinegar.
- Homemade elderberry juice in bottles
- Herbal tea blends | self-collected and dried. "Women's tea", bad weather tea, wellness tea - in jars or paper packs.
Our herbal pillows are fragrant cosy pillows. You can sleep on them, cuddle up with them, put them on the bedside table or in the linen cupboard, and they exude a wonderful herbal fragrance. The pillows are filled with "mountain meadow hay 8", which grows at 1500 metres above sea level, and with the organic herbs lemon balm, lavender, thyme and sage - straight from our herb bed.
FARMING
Organic grassland and forest farm with suckler cow husbandry, calf rearing and cattle fattening, laying hens.
ANIMALS ON THE FARM
Cats (Blacky, Luna, Nico), suckler cows, Angus bull without horns, cattle, calves, chickens, Rocky the cockerel.
COMMON STABLE TIMES
Every morning your children can enter the henhouse with the farmer's wife (Maria) and feed the farm chickens with wheat. Brave children are also allowed to stroke our chickens or hold them in their arms. After feeding, it's time to collect the eggs. Our little guests are especially happy about the fluffy chicken feathers that can sometimes be found on the floor of the henhouse.
All children and, of course, adults are invited to help with the work in the henhouse in the evening (from mid-October to mid-May). The farm animals (calves, cattle, cows) are just waiting to be fed and cared for.
On our farm, the children can still gain experience in handling the animals and there is plenty of space to play and run around. There is plenty of space to look around and discover in the yard, and the farmer or farmer's wife would rather be there in the stable and barn.
Excursion destination: our own alpine pasture "Schattenlagand".
As a special experience, we like to accompany our guests to our own alpine pasture "Schattenlagand". We do this at the time of day when we look after our animals every day. From there, there are great hiking trails and a marvellous view over the valley.
HIKING AND CYCLING
Our farm is the ideal starting point for hikes and walks on the numerous hiking trails around Brand. You can also explore the surrounding area by bike.
