About Us

Would you like to escape from everyday life, the hustle and bustle, noise and stress and change it for quiet, peaceful and idyllic days in the mountains? Would you like to spend your honeymoon in a romantic mountain cabin or simply take a some time off? Then you’ve found the right place: our mountain cabin Heinrichbauerhütte!

Surrounded by our alpine pastures, you can really experience and enjoy the fascination of a holiday in a mountain cabin here: SILENCE and life in and with NATURE.

The cabin is set in a absolutely secluded location above the forest line at an altitude of 1,845 m. Here, you can take in an awe-inspiring view already for breakfast - joined only by the marmots ;-).

Despite its location high up in the mountains, you can easily reach the cabin by car in summer.

Hikers and country walkers will find everything their hearts could possibly desire.

Pets are welcome in our mountain cabin. The fenced area around the cabin is a spacious “playground” for our four-pawed friends. The spring water fountain in front of the cabin, the barbecue area and the campfire spot are ideal places to relax.

Amenities: living room with open-plan kitchen and wood-fired stove featuring a hot water storage (water is automatically heated for washing up and the shower); comfortable living room with seating corner and bunk bed; shower and WC inside the cabin. The stairs lead you to a gallery with double bed. Another bedroom with double bed. Solar powered lighting but no electricity apart from that;

Mountain cabin for rent May to October.

The mountain cabin costs EUR 90 per day no matter how many guests are on holiday. No final cleaning fee!

What’s so special about our mountain cabin? The secluded location and the awe-inspiring panorama. Our cabin high up on the alpine pastures is ideal for people who enjoy being high up in the mountains, far away from the valley, in solitude and with marmots as the only neighbours, those who’d like to leave everything behind in exchange for cosy, peaceful and quiet days in a mountain cabin.

Mountain Cabin

1 - 6 People

The stairs lead you to a gallery with double bed. From there you can access the second bedroom that also comes with a double bed.

In the living room on the ground floor, there’s a comfortable bunk bed.

You only need to heat one wood-fired stove in the kitchen. It simultaneously heats the water for the sink and the shower and comes with a hot water storage.

Arrival

Ø      Motorway exit (A10 Tauern motorway) Rennweg am Katschberg;

Ø      Exit in the direction of Rennweg

Ø      After approx. 400 m turn right into the town at the intersection by the water flowers

Ø      Turn right before the red church and continue in the direction of St. Peter

Ø      After approx. 1 km (there is a bus stop on the right) turn left towards St. Peter

Ø      After approx. 200 m there is a Jesus cross on the left; turn sharply left by this cross in the direction of Wirnsberg

Ø      Approx. 2 km through the forest, the first farm (Wirnsberg no. 5) is our farm. From here we can go together to the cabin.
