About Us
Our organic farm with newly constructed guest rooms is in a sunny, idyllic location in the middle of the mountains in the Lunz area. Our 1000 m elevation provides a spectacular view of the highest mountains in cider country. Whether traveling alone, as a couple, or a family with children – we are always happy to welcome you. We have many activities especially suited to our youngest guests which will allow them to fully experience life on a farm – for instance, visiting a mother cow with her calves. Our home is also the starting point for the so-called "Hoehensteinrunde", a hiking trail which leads to the very top of Egger mountain (1,134 m). The entire round-trip hike can be comfortably completed in two hours. The Oetscher-Tormaeuer Nature Park is a secret destination tip for lengthy hikes. The only natural lake in lower Austria, the Lunzer See, is a great destination for fun in and on the water. Swimming, boating and fishing are favorite activities at the lake. The stage on the lake offers cultural activities, while the blooming of the daffodils in the spring attracts visitors from all over. The entire round-trip hike can be comfortably completed in two hours. The trail can also be used with cross-country skis or with snowshoes.
The nearby skiing areas of Maiszinken (free magic carpet for children) and Kasten (floodlights) can be reached within 20 minutes. The skiing village of Lackenhof on the Oetscher as well as Hochkar mountain are also in close proximity (25 to 30 minutes).
Of course, there are also many other winter activities to explore here: try out your ice-skating skills on the lake; tear up the cross-country trails in Lunz, Lackenhof and Hochreith; relax at the Ybbstaler Solebad (brine/salt bath); or restore body and soul at the hot springs or in the sauna.
