About Us
Welcome to the Hoferbichlgut!
Our organic farm is located in a peaceful, idyllic setting surrounded by meadows, yet only a few kilometers from the town center of Saalfelden. Leave the daily routine far behind as you allow nature to work its wonders on you!
Our Farmhouse
Our 300-year-old farmhouse radiates a very special charm. In total, we offer 3 apartments and one chalet as accommodations for your holiday in Saalfelden. Make yourself right at home in the cozy, comfortably furnished apartments or our chalet. Enjoy the magical view from the balcony and breathe in the fragrance of furniture made from Swiss pine.
The Outdoor Area
You will also feel marvelously at ease outside. Our swimming pond with sun loungers allows you to cool off on hot summer days, whilst grill equipment with comfy seating promises convivial hours in the evening. Our sauna hut is divided in two, with one half for the exclusive use of chalet guests, the other for apartment guests. But one thing is the same on both sides, namely the marvelous views of the surrounding mountain world!

Our Hoferbichlgut provides ideal accommodations, no matter whether you want to enjoy a holiday filled with outdoor activities or pure relaxation.
In summer, you will be greeted by countless kilometers of bike paths as well as mountain-bike and downhill trails. Your hiking holiday begins right outside the front door, with the region offering more than 400 km of clearly marked hiking and mountaineering paths. At numerous huts along the way, you can sample many of the region’s mouthwatering culinary specialties. Needless to say, clear mountain streams and beautiful lakes are always a big part of a summer holiday in SalzburgerLand as well. The Ritzensee in Saalfelden guarantees a relaxed day of bathing, while the Zeller See is within easy reach by car. Adventurers have many different options in the region, including canyoning, rafting, kayaking and canoeing.

Our Hoferbichlgut is the ideal place to stay during your winter holidays. Peacefully situated, yet not far from the surrounding ski areas, with all opportunities open to you.
Only 14 km away, the Asitzbahn lifts in Leogang serve as your gateway to the slopes of the gigantic Skicircus Saalbach-Hinterglemm Leogang Fieberbrunn, where 270 kilometers of fabulous pistes are certain to thrill you. For something more laid-back, we suggest a family ski day at the Hinterreit lifts or slicing down the slopes on the outskirts of Maria Alm am Hochkönig – both ski areas are not far from our farm.
If you prefer to take a more leisurely approach to your winter holiday, you can set out on a relaxed winter hike from right here at the farm. For children, there is plenty of room around the house to build snowmen, have a snowball fight, and go sledding.

Organic Products from the Hoferbichlgut
For as long as supplies last, we offer our own seasonal organic products including milk, eggs, schnapps, meat and bacon.
You are invited to pay us a visit in the barn and take a look behind the scenes to see how our farm operates and our products are made.
Animals at the Hoferbichlgut
On our organic farm, we raise heifer calves. For some time now, we have also been raising Wagyu beef, cattle which are famous for their outstanding meat quality. We would be happy to tell you more about this cattle breed which is still quite rare in Austria.
Our Hoferbichlgut is also home to two Noriker stud horses.
Awaiting our youngest guests is a small petting zoo with ponies, goats, rabbits, caves and cats.
Some of our animals spend summer on the high pastures, where you are welcome to visit them.
