What a pleasure that you have found us!
THE LOCATION - at the heart of a sunny valley surrounded by breathtaking mountains that are part of the Kalkalpen National Park. Find cosy oases of peace but also lots of opportunities for children to play.
THE FARM - chicken, ducks, cats, pygmy goats, rabbits, lots of cows and calves... get up close and personal, stroke, feed and watch them, taste fresh milk ... The large garden with swings, slides, go-karts, table soccer, campfire... Everything you could possible wish for!
THE PYHRN-PRIEL AKTIVCARD - allows you to visit almost all the attractions of our region free of charge. Explorethe beautiful mountain scenery, go on amazing day trips or simply relax. Nearby Lake Gleinkersee is an inviting place to swim and take a boat cruise.
BUT WHAT WOULD IT BE LIKE, if there were no PEOPLE at the Kandlerhof who look forward to your arrival, chat with you, drink some home-made schnapps and recommend great activities for your hoilday!

About Us
The farm for holidays in the ski resorts Hinterstoder and Wurzeralm
in the beautiful holiday destination Pyhrn-Priel.
What a pleasure that you have found us!
Flat access road, so no snow tyres are required even if there's a lot of snow.
THE LOCATION - in a sunny valley surrounded by a stunning mountain scenery. Ideally located between the ski resorts of HINTERSTODER/HÖSS and WURZERALM close to the Kalkalpen National Park.
THE FARM - get up close and personal with cows, calves, pygmy goats, pigs, cats, rabbits, chicken and ducks, feed or simply observe them in their new free-range barn. The large garden with swings, slides, go-karts, table soccer, table tennis ... everything your heart could possibly desire!
THE APARTMENTS - the apartment "Sonnenblume" ("sunflower") (4-8 persons), spacious and newly furnished or the apartment "Abendsonne" ("evening sun") (2-4 persons), comfortable and traditional, both with balcony, will turn your visit into a real holiday. The cosy apartment "Morgensonne" ("morning sun") (2-3 persons) is ideal for a stay for two. And for breakfast, we serve fresh food directly from the farm.

We run a dairy farm with about 110 heads of cattle of which 55 are dairy cows and female calves.
This means that we get about 60 calves each year. The male calves are sold to other farms at the age of approx. 8 weeks. The female animals stay at the farm and spend the summer on the mountain pastures on the Hengstpass - at Egglam and Menaueralm. At the age of approx. 2.5 years, they give birth to their first calf. Afterwards, they are either sold or milked at the farm.
Furthermore, we always have 1 pigs, our pygmy goat Flocke, around 10 chicken, runner ducks, lots of tame cats and rabbits.
You can go to the barn at any time. The animals, however, only get their feed at feeding time. And in the evening when 11 cows are milked at the same time at the milking parlour, you are welcome to watch. You can also try to milk a cow yourself and take a sip of fresh milk.
