We will be happy to accommodate you with Lavant's golf course. Come discover our small pilgrimage church. Lavant is a small, romantic village, deeply entrenched in tradition. It has been a restorative refuge for people from all over the world for generations.
We are deeply connected to our land. This is where we gather our strength from, it gifts us with the goodness of the earth. Our asparagus is a perfect example of this. A specialty of eastern Tyrol, we nurture it every year at the farm. Our asparagus is famous throughout the area and is available only from our farm.
This is the gift which we would like to pass along to you: strength, to enjoy life to the utmost. After a round of golf, would you be interested in mountain hiking or biking through the valley?

About Us
The Michelerhof is located in the center of the village of Lavant. It is a family farm where relaxation is guaranteed. Our guest rooms and vacation apartment are comfortably and lovingly furnished. We have two family room areas for relaxing and gathering. Discover and enjoy the romantic winter in Lavant! Winter activities start right outside our front door. They include a sledding trail from the Kirchberg, the Dolomite trail, and three ice rinks for ice-skating, ice hockey and curling. Just a few kilometers away are the base stations of our family-friendly ski areas of Zettersfeld and Hochstein, with their state-of-the-art lifts and perfectly groomed slopes. Our regular guests have come to cherish the sincere friendliness they find here. This is the perfect destination to unwind and recuperate. "If you have a vision, you have to live it, love it and carry through with it", according to Josef Kaplenig (the "Micheler") from Lavant. His vision was to grow asparagus. When he first started, he was having problems with his crop. This is when his gardening mentor said to him: "Talk to the asparagus!" Which basically means, if the necessary passion is there, then success will follow. He didn't have to wait long for it. The first few stalks have grown and expanded into 14 rows of white asparagus, and six rows of green. They are nurtured every year, rinsed in the village fountain right after harvest by Elisabeth Kaplenig, chilled and delivered immediately to the consumer. The tender stalks are becoming increasingly popular. They are sold directly from the farm, and are also delivered to restaurants and gourmet shops. From the end of April until the beginning of June the "Micheler" is an asparagus farmer to the very depths of his soul.
