About Us

Summer holidays on the farm - enjoy nature in the Montafon

Welcome to the Patrik Maier family farm at 1,050 metres above sea level, surrounded by the imposing mountains of the Rätikon. Here you can experience pure nature, away from the hustle and bustle and traffic - a place to take a deep breath and relax.

Start your day with a hearty breakfast made from the farm's own produce - fresh organic milk, free-range eggs and other farmhouse delicacies.
Afterwards, nature beckons: whether it's a leisurely stroll, sporty cycling or long hikes - the mountains of the Montafon are just waiting to be discovered!
Experience the breathtaking views and enjoy the culinary specialities of the surrounding alpine pastures and mountain huts.

Or simply take some time out: lie down in the fragrant grass, watch the clouds drift by and leave everyday life behind you.
On hot days, a dip in the cool water - be it in the stream or in one of the swimming pools in the valley - provides a refreshing cool-down.

Feel the connection with nature - we look forward to seeing you!

Animals

How is a cow milked and can I watch?
Who wakes us up in the morning?
By the twittering of birds, the crowing of a cockerel or the cackling of ducks?
Each of these families has its own nest.
Stroke and observe our animals and take part in the work on the farm.

A colourful bunch of animals are kept on the Maier family farm:

  • Dog and cat
  • Chickens and ducks
  • Oxen, cows and their calves
  • horses
  • Goats and pigs
  • Small and large rabbits

The Maier family took over the farm from Uncle Johann in 1993.
Since then, the farm has been run as a sideline and farmed organically.

The cows and their calves as well as horses and ponies spend the summer on the Alps in the region: Alpe Nova, Alpe Golm and Allmein.
Take a hiking trip there in summer and ski past in winter.
