Welcome to the “Brunnerhütte”! Set at the valley head of the Zauchwinkeltal in the Gurktal valley and a true escape from the noise of the world, a large family or group of friends (up to 7 people) will find a comfortable and spacious mountain cabin literally hidden in the forest. It’s the ideal starting point for hikes and country walks through mixed coniferous forests, for relaxation and regeneration, for digital detox and new orientation.

Let your thoughts wander as you’re sitting underneath the huge walnut tree, listen to the wind while you’re having a barbecue in the wooden gazebo, get together in the former barn, light a fire in the wood-fired stove and finish off the day playing board games in the open-plan kitchen that was designed with great care.

For your orientation: The next grocery store is in Weitensfeld (10 km, 3 km of which are a gravel road), 7 km to the nearest restaurant, 30 minutes’ drive to lakes, castles and other attractions. 50 minutes to Klagenfurt/Lake Wörthersee.

What else? It’s set at an altitude of 1,070 m - above the clouds in winter. Of course, we will show you how to use the wood-fired stove! Raised beds with fresh herbs - help yourselves!
