Experience a farm
Our mountain farm is organic - we are officially certified organic. Among other things, we keep Highlands (also known as Scottish Highland cattle) as suckler cows. During the summer, the cattle and their calves graze the areas around our farm and enjoy the fresh grass on the surrounding mountain meadows. We are happy to show you our many animals and take you on a ‘feeding tour’ to the animals.
The meadows are mown twice a year so that our animals can be supplied with hay throughout the winter. The steep six-hectare meadow is a challenge to cultivate - but thanks to special machinery and a lot of manual labour, it works well.
The season and the weather determine our rhythm and our work accordingly. If you and your children are interested, you can get to know life on the farm, look over our shoulders as we work and even lend a hand. There is always something to do on the farm and in the fields. In the winter months, when there is snow outside and all the animals are in the barn, you are welcome to follow the work in the barn in the evening and, of course, help out.
Our stable is freely accessible to you at any time of day.
Our Highland cattle with calves in various configurations, our two black-nosed sheep Doro and Mona, the goat Martha, the three dwarf rabbits Lisa, Lilly and Lotta, the hens Wiebke and Ursel with rooster Franz-Josef and our two tomcats Sissi and Franz are looking forward to your visit.
