About Us
Welcome to the “Zuahaus” - vacation next to our farm
In 2022 we, Christina and Jakob, lovingly rebuilt our own home - the “Zuahaus” - with old wood from the 16th century and founded our small family with son Jakob Josef. The “Zuahaus” offers a special retreat for those seeking relaxation. Nestled in a picturesque landscape, surrounded by forests and mountains, the house combines authentic charm with a genuine feel-good atmosphere. Experience the fresh meadow and hay air and enjoy the spaciousness around our farm and the energy of the forest.
Jakob's parents have been running a vacation home for up to 50 people on our farm for 50 years. Hospitality has a long tradition in our family, which is clearly felt by our guests.
On the first floor there is a spacious vacation apartment with two bathrooms for up to 5 people and two cozy studios for 2 people each. Each accommodation unit promises peace and relaxation. A video-monitored ski room with ski boot heating and a washing machine for use for a fee are also available.
Our house is ideal for nature lovers: walks, hikes and bike tours start right outside the front door. Ski areas such as Wilder Kaiser - Brixental, Ski Juwel Alpbachtal - Wildschönau and the Zillertal can be reached in just 15 to 30 minutes, and there is a practice lift for beginners in the neighboring village of Angerberg. The nearby Reintalersee lake invites you to cool off in summer.
There is a trampoline right next to the farm, which is particularly popular with our younger guests. In summer, Jakob prepares part of the field as a soccer pitch - ideal for all soccer enthusiasts. After an eventful day, you can end the evening comfortably by our fire bowl.
Our adjoining farm is home to rabbits, ducks, pigs, sheep, goats, chickens, calves, cats and our faithful dog Ina. Children can feed our rabbits and, when Jakob is in the barn, help feed the calves, pigs and goats or see if our hard-working laying hens have hidden an egg in their nest. Experience pure nature, peace and relaxation surrounded by our animal companions.

Our organic game hens - natural and sustainable
Our focus is on the production of high-quality organic game hens. Our chickens belong to a slow-growing breed and grow up in the wild - in our free-range barn. They develop over 10 weeks without the use of growth promoters or antibiotics. This slow rearing and the generous amount of free range ensure a particularly intense aroma and tender, juicy meat - hence our motto: enjoy chicken with a clear conscience and know where it comes from.
As a certified organic farm, we attach great importance to species-appropriate animal husbandry and the highest quality. We always have frozen chicken meat and fresh eggs in stock for our guests so that you can enjoy our products at any time.
Our passion: animal welfare and quality combined
On our farm, everything revolves around the welfare of our animals and the production of top-quality meat. With love and respect for nature, we have specialized in organic wild chickens and sustainable rearing of young cattle. The calves from our partner organic farms grow up in a species-appropriate environment, enjoy the summer on the mountain pastures and return to their original farmer strengthened before calving.

For us, regionality is more than just a promise - it is the core of our philosophy. We reject long animal transports, especially to countries outside Europe. Instead, we focus on short distances that benefit animal welfare and the environment in equal measure.
Diversity on our farm
Our farm is not only a place for high-quality food, but also home to a variety of animals, as biodiversity is very important to us. In addition to our wild chickens, we have calves, yearlings, laying hens, pigs, goats, sheep, ducks, hares, rabbits, a cat and our loyal dog Ina. Together they create a unique farm life that makes your stay with us a special experience.
