Taurachhof - Astlehen

Welcome to the Taurachhof in St. Johann im Pongau!

The Taurachhof is situated above the idyllic alpine village of St. Johann im Pongau in an incomparable panoramic location at 1,200 metres above sea level, surrounded by forests and meadows. You can reach the farm in a secluded location via a well-maintained road.

The farm's stable is approx. 400 metres from the house and can be visited at any time. You are welcome to help with the stable work by prior arrangement. There is also an outdoor enclosure for small animals in the garden and our rabbits and guinea pigs are happy to be petted.

The holiday flats, newly built in November 2022, were furnished with many local materials and are equipped to a high standard. The holiday flats are ideal for groups or larger families, as each bedroom has its own bathroom.

In winter, the Snow Space Salzburg ski area, part of the Ski Amadé with up to 760 kilometres of pistes, is in the immediate vicinity. You can be at the lift in less than 5 minutes by car. You can also set off on snowshoes or touring skis right from the front door or explore the surrounding area on leisurely walks.

In summer, the location in the middle of marvellous nature is enchanting. From the Taurachhof you can set off directly on foot into the Alpendorf hiking area or take advantage of the many hiking and excursion options in the immediate vicinity. By car you can reach the most popular excursion destinations, such as the Eisriesenwelt, the Hallein salt mine or Hohenwerfen Castle in no time at all. The Mozart city of Salzburg is also only approx. 60 km away. Right in the Alpine village, Spuki and G'spensti on the Geisterberg, an adventure playground at 1,800 metres above sea level, await families eager to explore.

The alpine village of St. Johann with a few restaurants and a small grocery shop can be reached in 5 minutes by car. The district capital of St. Johann with its beautiful cathedral, many shops, restaurants and cafés can be reached by car in 15 minutes. Within walking distance you will find a small mountain restaurant in a marvellous panoramic location.
