The location
The Unterkoller-Hof is situated at approx. 880 m above sea level in Bischofshofen in SalzburgerLand above the Mühlbachtal valley. The farm is accessible in summer and winter via a well-maintained, asphalted road; snow chains are required in winter. The farm impresses with its secluded location and the fantastic view of the Mühlbach Valley, which is often shrouded in mist.

The Troadkasten
You stay in the Troadkasten, nestled between meadows, bushes and fruit trees. Enjoy the secluded location, the peace and quiet and the fantastic view. When building the house, we attached great importance to healthy and natural building materials in order to create a healthy indoor climate. The wooden components are predominantly made of local larch, and the furnishings are also predominantly made of larch wood. The bedroom furnishings are made of Swiss stone pine, which ensures a particularly restful night's sleep. There are stone worktops in the kitchens and all floors are made of fine stone. There is also a larch wood floor on the upper floor.

The farm & its history
The original farmhouse fell victim to a fire in 1918. Since then, the farm has been inhabited in a small troad box. In 2021, a new farmhouse and a new troad box were completely rebuilt. The adjoining stable building from 1855 was also completely renovated, modernized and extended, with great importance being attached to preserving old and proven features. The result is an almost self-sufficient farm with drinking water from its own spring, its own plant-based sewage treatment plant and an emergency power supply.

Today, 30 ewes, a donkey, farm cats and sometimes calves or goats live on the Unterkoller farm. As the farm is run as a sideline, we are not permanently on the farm. You can enjoy the peace and quiet undisturbed. However, if we are needed, we can be on site in a few minutes.

Sport and leisure
Thanks to our location at the foot of the Hochkönig, you have direct access to many hiking trails, the Erzweg Kupfer and the Knappensteig for hikes, mountain bike tours or ski tours. In winter, you have direct access to the ski tour on the Hochkeil and other tours.

At the Unterkoller farm you will find a colorful variety of animals that enrich life on the farm and offer you an authentic experience.

Ewes
The farm is home to 30 ewes, which are the heart of our animal husbandry. These sheep are not only important for the maintenance of our meadows, but also ensure a regular supply of wool.

Donkey
Our donkey is another lovable resident of the farm. Donkeys are known for their calm and patient nature and are very popular with visitors. They enjoy being groomed and fed and are often a highlight for children.

Farm cats
The farm is also home to several farm cats that roam freely. These cats are very trusting and love to be stroked. They contribute to the cozy and homely atmosphere of the farm.

Calves and goats
Depending on the season and requirements, you may also find calves or goats on the farm. These animals provide variety and complement the animal community at the Unterkoller farm perfectly. They are curious and playful and offer younger visitors in particular the opportunity to experience close contact with animals.

This cozy vacation apartment offers 46m² of space for up to 4 people, ideal for couples or families. The intelligent room layout includes:

Bedroom 1: double bed (180 cm) and pull-out bed (140 x 80) for a child. Direct access to the balcony.
Living room and/or bedroom: double bed (140 x 200) and access to the balcony.
Bathroom: with bathtub and shower.
Separate WC: separate from the rest of the apartment.

On the first floor there is a fully equipped kitchen with electric stove, oven, fridge with freezer compartment, dishwasher and Jura coffee machine (whole beans). The living area has underfloor heating and a wood-burning stove, which creates a cozy atmosphere.

The variable living area is furnished with a sofa and desk. Behind it is a folding bed (140 cm) for 2 people. Satellite TV and a radio with CD player are available for entertainment.

A highlight is the sauna hut on the terrace with a wonderful panoramic view. W-LAN is also available.

A sliding glass door leads into the bathroom with bath, shower and separate WC. A staircase leads from the bathroom to the upper floor, where there is another double bedroom and a living area with balcony.
