Disconnect from the demands of everyday life during your stay in the mountain cabin Waldbienenhütte next to our organic farm in Diex. The village of Diex is located above the foggy lowlands. With its 2,000 hours of sunshine per years, it’s a sunny paradise.
This mountain cabin with its rustic charm is set at the edge of a forest about 150 m above our organic farm. The stunning view of the mountain Koralpe and the Lavanttal valley and the location above the foggy lowlands makes our guests especially happy. Relax in our outdoor sauna featuring exclusive panoramic view after a long hike or MTB tour. In the evening, you can unwind and savour a glass of honey wine next to the chimney.
The sunniest village in Carinthia is the ideal place to engage in outdoor activities and set out to explore the forests and meadows. Diex has got a fortified church with two towers which is worth a visit. With over 100 km of signposted hiking trails above the clouds, every tour will be a beautiful adventure. Horse lovers will find everything their heart could possibly desire. Here, you can go for a ride at any time of the year. Another oasis of relaxation: the petting zoo next to the fish ponds.

Winter holidays at an altitude of 1,200 m with plenty sunshine
Relax and unwind in our mountain cabin “Waldbienenhütte” on our organic farm in Diex and enjoy beautiful winter time with your loved ones.
This mountain cabin with its rustic charm is set at the edge of a forest about 150 m above our organic farm. The stunning view of the mountain Koralpe and the Lavanttal valley and the location above the foggy lowlands makes our guests especially happy.
In winter, outdoorsy guests will love the private cross-country ski trail and the hill for toboggan rides next to the farmhouse. Kids can join an adventurous ride on the tracked ATV.
After some exhausting exercise, you can allow your muscles to relax in the rustic wood-fired barrel sauna. Or simply get cosy next to the chimney with a cup of tea or hot chocolate.
