⛅️🌤☀️ The morning fog is dissolving - the sky is brightening up ⛅️🌤☀️

Our mountain, the Salzkofel, is slowly reappearing in dramatic shades of orange and rose. The air is clean and crisp. It seems as if the mountain is inviting you to set out on a hike. But first, it’s time for breakfast: Porridge cooked on the wood-fired stove is especially delicious with some buttermilk. Perhaps, you’d like to add some fresh wild blackberries?

⛰ “Wallneralm” - Alpine Pastures & Mountain Cabins 🛌

This hidden spot is called “Lanzewitzen”. Only two mountain cabins are located here. Since 2022, they are open for guests. They both come with rustic and comfortable amenities. Look forward to cosy beds for 4 people in each cabin. The wood-fired stove is the place where you’ll prepare your meals. The shower is outside (more or less) and powered with solar panels. The fenced garden area around the cabins provides several oases of well-being: loungers with a view, a spot next to the fishing pond or comfortable wooden seats.

🐑 Say Hi to Sheep & Cows 🐂

Our cows and sheep also spend their summer holidays on the alpine pastures around the mountain cabins. You’ll most probably meet them on your hikes and country walks. Cowbells and bleating sheep that are calling their lambs - that’s the soundtrack of the mountains.

📲 Holidays Offline 📲

There’s no signal around the mountain cabins. An “online bench” is placed about 100 m off the cabins. It’s worth a try: Can you do without it and stay offline for a week?

This place literally invites you to spend time with the simple things: make a campfire and have bread on a stick, make jam from cranberries you’ve collected yourself, catch a fish and prepare it for dinner, play board games with mum and dad or build a mandala from cones, leaves and stones. It’s a place where you’ll collect unforgettable memories. Promise!

Those who are looking for the luxuries of the simple life have found the right place here. At our mountain cabins, you’ll have everything you need but nothing needless.

🚗 Good to know: How to get to the “Wallneralm”: 5 km to the organic farm “Biohof Wallner” (1,215 m) on asphalt and gravel roads, an additional 3 km forest road to the mountain cabin “Wallneralm”.

Our mountain cabin is for rent from mid-June to mid-September.
