About Us
Our mountain cabin is set on our own alpine pastures nestled in the municipality of Flattnitz in the Gurktal Alps at an altitude of 1,400 m. The foundation walls date back to 1880. We renovated and rebuilt the cabin in 1997.
For those seeking peace and quiet, it features oases of rest and relaxation for all senses.
In SUMMER, you can explore the surroundings on themed trails and Kneipp trails as well as hiking trails up to the summits. In WINTER, there’s a ski piste and cross-country ski trail near the cabin. Keen ski tourers will find the ideal conditions for tours around the mountain Wintertalernock.
And if the sun doesn’t shine, you can still get together outside in the sheltered area on the covered balcony in front of the cabin. The barbecue and the outdoor seats are the ideal place to spend a light-hearted time together.
A well-equipped playhouse and a small stream behind the cabin will make children’s hearts leap for joy.

In SUMMER, adventure and Kneipp therapy hiking trails, as well as mountain tours, invite you to explore the surroundings. In WINTER, the ski and cross-country ski slopes are not far from the cabin. Ski touring enthusiasts will find excellent conditions for tours in the Wintertalernock region.
If the sun happens to hide, the covered balcony in front of the cabin provides shelter from wind and rain, ensuring cozy outdoor gatherings. The outdoor grill and seating area invite you to enjoy sociable hours in the fresh air.
