Central Burgenland is famed for its rolling hills, picturesque villages surrounded by fields, deciduous forests, lovely orchards and romantic vineyards. The region derives its name from the large number of well-preserved fortresses and castles (“Burgen”, in German). Set out on a country walk! And, of course, wine...
