The sun is shining brightly here, you can rely on that. But also the vineyards here are beaming ... with beauty, friendly faces and hospitality. Central Burgenland is famed for its rolling hills, picturesque villages surrounded by fields, deciduous forests, lovely orchards and romantic vineyards. The region derives its name from the large number of well-preserved fortresses and castles (“Burgen”, in German). Set out on a country walk! And, of course, wine... One of the best red varieties, the Blaufränkisch (blue Frankish), is grown here, on more than 2,000 hectares.
