About Us
Cozy retreat for two… right in the Milky Way
The Badstube LEX is truly located in the "Mölltal Leit’n" (surrounded by steep mountain meadows) with a breathtaking view of Austria’s highest peaks. The small cabin is nestled among a few working mountain farms.
This spot is ideal for extended hikes and mountain tours in the Hohe Tauern National Park. The Großglockner, the Sonnblick, and the Asten (a stunning high alpine valley) are all within easy reach. Insider tip: A special experience is feeding the marmots along the Großglockner High Alpine Road. In winter, the cabin is conveniently located near the Heiligenblut ski area. Ski tours and snowshoe hikes can start directly from the cabin.
The cabin
Our rustic cabin is perfect for a romantic getaway for two. The kitchen, living area, and bedroom are all in one cozy space. The bed is a snug "loft bed," accessible via a small wooden staircase. The warmth of the tiled stove makes evenings especially comfortable. A bathroom is, of course, included.
Our highlight: The "Stargazing Terrace"
In the evening, the "Stargazing Terrace" becomes the perfect spot to relax. Enjoy a glass of wine while experiencing the feeling of being in the heart of the Milky Way. Guaranteed: You’ve never been this close to the stars! Our tip: During the day, the terrace doubles as a great place for sunbathing.
Getting to the Badstube is easy: A paved road leads 3.5 km above the village of Großkirchheim to the small cabin. In Großkirchheim, you’ll find shopping opportunities, restaurants, a natural swimming pool, and a climbing tower.
The cabin is available for rent year-round.
