About Us
Relaxation, adventure and experiences for young and old are on offer at our farm.
On a small hill, surrounded by meadows and fields, our well kept, typical Mostviertel four-sided farm in a totally secluded location. The centre of Steinakirchen is only 1 km away.
Centrally located, our farm is the ideal starting point for excursions into Wachau, the Ötscher region and Vienna. But there's also lots to see in the immediate vicinity. We greet our guests with homemade cake. Your children will be delighted by our large play area with tree house, slide, chain bridge, sand pit ...and getting to know our animals. Get to know our bulls, sheeps, goals by helping in the stalls. Our various children's play cars, toys and our playhouse won't allow a moment's boredom. In the summer you can find refreshment in the pool. Our magnificent flower garden with it's pleasant loungers and seating invites you to relax. In the evening we love to sit with our guests in a small group in our rustic summer house. Many friendships have been formed at barbecue evenings. The children love the campfire! The homemade sausages simply taste better. Holidays with us are an unforgettable experience for the whole family!
About Us
Peace and quiet, relaxation and plenty of fresh air!
On a small hill, only 1 km from the centre of Steinakirchen in a beautiful secluded location our typical Mostviertel four-sided farm.
Step inside and experience the cosy atmosphere of our house. In the warm parlour with a tiled oven you can relax on cold days with fantastic pastries and a hot farmer's tea. Throughout the whole house you'll find traditional cross stitch. In the wintertime there's a lot of music going on. You're welcome to play and sing along. The whole house smells of baked goods and delicacies.
If there's enough snow then a cross country ski run goes right past the house. Go for stunning winter walks for example through the forest and on the Haberg. Come into the warm parlour and be spoilt with homemade cake .
A nap on a bench by the oven perhaps, while your children get to know the yard and our animals?
The rabbits, guinea pigs, goats and cats have a particularly cuddly coat in winter. Get to know our cattle and pigs by helping out in the stalls. Our ducks and hens have to be fed every day.
A fantastic, long toboggan meadow is only 10 minutes away on foot. Lunz am See is only 30 km away. There is a small skiing area there - ideal for families with children.
We have a lot of toys, board games and books for children and adults. Painting things are also to hand.
How about an evening with a good farm snack made from our own produce and in addition a good Austrian cider or warming mulled cider? Guests in the rooms can use our guest kitchen. Ideal for hunger or thirst on the go. Equipped with a fridge, microwave, coffee machine, hobs.
Enjoy the peace and quiet of winter and some quiet time with your family with us at the Strassbauernhof.

In the afternoon there is a sweet treat - made by the farmer herself - to go with your coffee!
In the evening do try our typical "Strassbauer snack" with homemade produce. A glass of Mostviertel pear cider should certainly be included. The meal is rounded off by a glass of pear schnapps.
Our young billy goat Rambo (born in February) gets cheekier by the day. Now he wants to fight with his big brother Maxl. The whole goat family jumps about in the enclosure. Rambo likes it best though when he is allowed out to go for a walk with the farmer or the children. Then there are so many tasty things everywhere.
Murli, our happy cat has just given birth to three delightful kittens. By summertime they will be quite spoiled. Kitty is also expecting babies. At the moment 9 cats are running about on the farm.
Flecki our little rabbit has a delightful baby rabbit. Wuschel too is expecting. Daddy rabbit Romeo was busy!
Our ducks are busy looking for snails. Luckily there aren't any more to be found in our flowerbeds and vegetable patch.
Caruso the rooster is happy with the young hens and crows his pleasure loudly.
