Berghof Thurnergut

Our mountain farm Berghof Thurnergut on 820 m above sea level is a farm dedicated to preserving heritage livestock breeds. We are part of the “Arche-Hof” network.The unique secluded location surrounded by spectacular mountains is the ideal place to escape from everyday worries and cares! Look forward to a breathtaking scenery featuring a view of the valley and the surrounding mountain peaks.

We offer two holiday apartments and a double room that have been furnished with great care using primarily wood. There’s enough space to feel at home. In the open-plan kitchen of the holiday apartment “Mountain Bliss”, a wood-fired stove makes for an especially pleasant ambience. Furthermore, you can look forward to two bedrooms, a spacious bathroom and a balcony with panoramic views! In the holiday apartment “Austrian Stone Pine Dream”, you’ll sleep in a bed made of Austrian stone pine which benefits your health.

Winter wonderland in the mountains. Start your winter walk right from the doorstep or go skiing in one of the ski resorts nearby! Back at the farm, you can fully relax and unwind.

Enjoy a spa at the farm! A beautiful day out skiing or tobogganing comes to the perfect end in the sauna made with Austrian stone pine and in the quiet zone “Mountain Forest”.

The young explorers can get to know the colourful diversity of animals or feel the freedom while sledging next to the farmhouse. You are very welcome to help us in the barn! Our heritage livestock breeds feel at home on our farm. We have Tux-Zillertaler (cattle), Alpines Steinschaf (sheep), Pfauenziegen (goats) and Turopolje Schweine (pigs).

Of course, you can get home-made products from our farm such as bacon, natural beef, cider, juice, fruit spirits and dried fruit.
