About Us
Located in a sunny and tranquil spot in the picturesque Gschnitz Valley in Tyrol, you will find our four-star Alfaier Bergheimat (Alfaier Mountain Refuge) and the cozy Alfaierhof Farmstead located right next to it, a perfect combination for a relaxing holiday in the alpine country. Accommodations are available in both buildings.
Thanks to individually appointed rooms, exquisite homemade products from our very own farm, a traditional Tyrolean atmosphere with a cozy bar and a modern spa area, a vacation at Alfaier Bergheimat is one that you aren't likely to forget anytime soon!
If you prefer a more authentic feel, we would be glad to provide you and your loved ones with rustic holiday apartments in the Alfaierhof Farmstead, which is steeped in 700 years of Austrian tradition.
Take in the unspoiled sights of nature and enjoy the numerous activities the region has to offer in summer. In winter, snow is always guaranteed, which makes it the perfect place for skiing, snowboarding, sledding, and cross-country skiing.
By the way: At our homestead, traces of the elves and mystical creatures that have lived in the Gschnitz Valley since the beginning of time can still be found, and these remnants ensure that guests in our König Elbengast Suite, in our Morgentau and Bergkristall apartments, as well as the Goldkappl, Tarnkappl, Kasermandl and Huetermadl rooms always have a good and restful night's sleep!

Happy, satisfied cows, curious and frisky calves, leisurely grunting piglets and cuddly kittens all live on our farm and are always looking to make new friends!
Get to know our trusted animals during a joint tour of the barn, watch them getting milked, and stroke the calves' silky coat. Have you ever had milk that has just been milked, straight from the cow? If not, here's your chance to have a sip!
