About Us
Our vacation home, a traditional Austrian farm design, was completely renovated in 2014. While it is located in the center of Illmitz, the surroundings are very quiet. Many "heurige" (taverns which serve wine produced by the owner) and restaurants are within walking distance. We offer two apartments for rent which sleep 2-5 people. They include a fully equipped kitchen as well as a generous relaxing and eating area. The inner courtyard offers shady areas and lounge chairs for sunning as well as a vegetable and herb garden which our guests are welcome to help themselves to. During the renovation of the farmhouse we paid close attention to using only natural materials and to maintaining the original style of the home. When you enter into the courtyard through the massive wooden gate you will feel as though you have entered another world. Comfortable areas to relax in with lounge chairs are available, but we also provide large garden tables under a pergola draped with grapevines which our guests enjoy using for breakfast. You will feel as though you're in an outdoor living room. The idyllic courtyard containing a vegetable and herb garden is available exclusively to our guests. Both apartments have private entrances into the garden. The driveway has enough room for automobiles, bicycles and sporting goods. Wireless Internet is available at no charge throughout the entire house and garden area.
There are several possible choices for breakfast. The butcher shop Karlo diagonally across from us offers freshly baked goods and regional specialties in the mornings. The restaurant located next to us also offers a breakfast buffet. We are looking forward to your visit! The Andert Family
