Originally built as an inn in 1780, a new stable wing, the residential building renovated and two new holiday flats built on the top and gable floors in 2013. Simply special, that's how the story of the BiscHOF in Mellau in the Bregenzerwald could begin.

URIG, because our house is a typical and indeed URaltes, traditional Bregenzerwald house that has been carefully renovated.
HEIMELIG, because we have worked a lot with natural materials during the restoration and renovation, which now provides the special room atmosphere.
COMFORTABLE, because it's not just the flats for rent. It's also because we are cosy ourselves and you will definitely feel this cosiness.

The Bregenzerwald Guest Card is your personal ticket to the mountain experiences in the Bregenzerwald from 1 May to 31 October. Use this inclusive card for any number of excursions on the mountain railways, for environmentally friendly journeys on public buses to the towns of Dornbirn and Bregenz and for relaxing hours in the region's outdoor swimming pools.

Enjoy wonderful walks on the well-signposted winter hiking and walking trails, or join the cross-country ski trail directly behind our farm. For your skiing pleasure, the ski bus departs every 20 minutes directly from your front door and takes you to the valley station of the Mellau-Damüls cable cars, which is around one kilometre away. Spend a wonderful day's skiing in the largest interconnected ski area in the Bregenzerwald with 109 kilometres of pistes and 29 lifts.
On the nearby, floodlit natural toboggan run, you can round off your day with a toboggan run before making yourself comfortable in your flat.
In our brand new community farm shop you will find the following products for purchase directly on site at the BiscHOF in Mellau in the Bregenzerwald.

- various cheeses
- a wide variety of sausages
- Frozen meat directly from the farmer
- Pasta for fine dishes
Enjoy these regional specialities.
You are also welcome to use our daily bread roll service with freshly baked goods or our breakfast basket. All other daily necessities are available within walking distance at the local grocery store in the village centre.

- Cats stay on the farm in the valley all year round.
Of course, we always have a few dairy cows at our home farm in Mellau, so you can enjoy fresh milk and the farmhouse flair.
Monday to Friday we invite our house guests to visit the stables from 17:00 to 18:00 to watch the farm work, observe the animals and lend a hand. Children under the age of 8 must be accompanied by an adult.
A large part of our herd of cows spends the summer on the Untergüntenstall Alpine pasture in Mellental, where Bregenzerwald Alpine cheese is produced. It's well worth a visit to experience the three-stage and alpine farming and dairy farming - as the production of cheese is called - at first hand.
