About Us
Welcome to the Dürsteinalm in Uttendorf!
The two huts on the Dürsteinalm lie at ca. 1400 meters above sea level and afford beautiful views across all of Pinzgauer Salzachtal, extending all the way to the Hochkönig, Stubachtal and the Weisssee glacier.
During the summer months from May – September, you will be able to spend an idyllic holiday amid alpine pastures. Many hiking paths close to the hut draw nature-loving fans of outdoor sports as well as those simply searching for undisturbed peace & quiet.
If you also love collecting, the Dürsteinalm won’t disappoint you either. The alpine meadows up here are a true paradise for blueberry and mushroom hunters!
And if you are very quiet, you might even catch sight one of the marmots scurrying about nearby.
The small hut on the Dürsteinalm can be rented exclusively. It consists of a double room, a triple room, a children’s room with 2 beds, a gallery with single bed, kitchen, shower and pit toilet. There is also a balcony overlooking the herb garden.
At the Almhaus, 4 double rooms – each with kitchen/living room – can be rented out as holiday apartments. The bathroom and pit toilet are shared by guests. The hut also has two single rooms which can be booked in addition as needed.
Running water comes directly from the mountain spring behind the huts and can be heated up with a boiler. Bedding and towels are included in the price.
The Dürsteinalm can be reached with your own car via a well-maintained forestry road in about 25 minutes from the valley.
Your host Theresia has a real passion for collecting, not only mushrooms and wild herbs, but also fine furnishings and accessories. If you come to an agreement with her, you might well be able to purchase the occasional item as a wonderful souvenir of your holidays.
These mountain huts, with an iconic character all their own, can also be booked as a location for film and photo shoots.
I personally look forward to welcoming you to our mountain huts!
Your host, Theresia Bacher
