About Us
- the holiday paradise for young and old amongst the magnificent Nock Mountains -
Our 190-year-old wooden farmhouse was attentively renovated in 2009 in the typical countryside style, and is the perfect setting for properly recuperating in the Nock Mountains. Away from the hectic pace and stress of everyday life, families with children experience a feeling of well being. The cosy family atmosphere of a tradition-rich farm amongst the unspoilt natural surroundings has its own unique charm, not only for those seeking rest and relaxation but also for active guests.
Child-friendliness is of great importance at our Unterkrug family farm. That's why younger guests in particular look forward to their animal playmates as much as the garden with children's playhouse and swing, and the contentedness of the children guarantees that parents have a care-free and relaxing time.
About Us
In winter, the Nockberge mountains and surrounding peaks show themselves in a gentle and impressive silence. In the midst of nature there are unique opportunities to indulge in snowy nature - be it skiing, tobogganing, snowshoeing or cross-country skiing.
All this can be found in the surrounding ski areas such as the Turracher Höhe, Hochrindl or Gerlitze. Unique is also the famous ski resort Bad Kleinkirchheim, only 10 minutes away by car, where World Cup races take place at regular intervals. Once you are there, you can also enjoy a nice day in one of the two thermal baths.
Less experienced winter sports enthusiasts can relax on a horse-drawn sleigh ride and get to know the snowy surroundings.
On our farm there is a variety of small and large animals. We have about 17 mother cows, young cattle, depending on the season calves, chickens, cats, guinea pigs and a deer. Twice a day we feed the animals that are at home on the farm during the summer. The chickens are fed and the eggs are taken. Of course, there is the possibility to go to the barn and help on the farm - be it feeding or haymaking in the field.
