About Us
Our cabin is located 1000 m over sea level in the Zillertal Alps community of Gerlosberg. This idyllic setting lies 3 1/2 km above Zell am Ziller. Construction was completed in the fall of 2014, with room for up to eight people. Next door to the cabin you will find our Pension (hotel) Schoesserhof. This is the ideal location for those who want to visit the Zillertal with their entire family. Here you will be able to leave the everyday behind while finding rest and relaxation with that personal, customized touch in a nature-centered environment. Our facility is in a quiet location with a breathtaking view of the Zillertal Alps. Our farm is part of the Pension Schoesserhof. We welcome the chance to show your family everyday life on a farm in Tyrol. Visit the petting barn area for children with its small animals, or help out with the milking and feeding of the animals. A playground is available for the children. Adults can relax on the sunny lawn area with a beautiful panoramic view of the Zillertal Alps or wander barefoot on our relaxing pathways.
A true Zillertal farmer distills their own schnapps. The Schoesserhof has one of the few private distilleries still in operation. One of the secret benefits of staying with us is enjoying a sample of our schnapps! Marianna Schweiberer will be happy to welcome you with a "Schnapserl" along with an interesting tour of our distillery.
The vacation cabin Friedlach and, of course,Pension Schoesserhof, is the ideal starting point for both short and extended hikes in the Kreuzjoch area within the Zillertal arena. You will find break areas on many different alpine meadows. The best excursion locations, such as the Zillertal Hoehenstrasse, the waterfalls of Krimml, and the "Goldene Dachl" in Innsbruck can be reached by car.
