About Us
The quiet, traffic-free location makes the Grußberggut the ideal holiday destination for families with children of all ages. Younger guests can have fun in the sand pit or on our climbing tower complete with slide. For those slightly older children, there is the fun of the small stream at the edge of the forest about 100m behind the House, where undisturbed, they can build small waterways, dams, etc. Experience nature with all your senses ... The quiet, traffic-free location makes the Grußberggut the ideal holiday destination for families with children of all ages. Younger guests can have fun in the sand pit or on our climbing tower complete with slide. For those slightly older children, there is the fun of the small stream at the edge of the forest about 100m behind the House, where undisturbed, they can build small waterways, dams, etc. In the stable, there lives our cockerel Caruso, our dog Chicco, pigs, cats and rabbits, all next door to our dairy cows and calves. When the cows and Chicco are on our pasture during the summer months (mid-June to early September), we invite you to visit them there (approx. 2 hours walk). This is where many of our dairy products are directly produced. Try a piece of homemade cheese or drink a fresh glass of buttermilk. Green, fragrant Alpine meadows are popular not only with our guests, but with a little bit of luck, you’ll also see deer and stags at the edge of the forest.

Skiing ... 270 km of groomed slopes, 80 ski lifts and all kinds of variety ... this all comes together to form the Gastein ski resort. Variety and loads of fun on the slopes is guaranteed courtesy of the 4 ski regions in Gastein, from family slopes up to rapid descents for professionals – there is something for everyone. The Gastein mountain railways are also connected to the Amadé Ski World - with over 850 km of well-prepared pistes and over 260 lifts, this Ski resort the largest and most attractive of the Austrian ski regions. Away from the slopes of ... there is plenty more to do in Gastein other than skiing. Besides the slopes, there is plenty to experience ... There is ice skating in the spa gardens, snow-shoe hiking in the Anger valley, cross-country skiing on one of the many trails or winter hiking over 100 km of prepared hiking trails means there is no opportunity for non-skiers to get bored. You can go riding on Icelandic farm horses at Oberhaizing, or go for sleigh rides or tobogganing on roughly 1.5 km of aeroplan toboggan run, which will delight young and old. The highlight for all water lovers and wellness fans is certainly a visit to the Gastein thermal baths. The Alpine thermal spring guarantees plenty of action and fun, even for young families, over more than 32,000 m². Peace, health and finding yourself – these are the fundaments of the Gastein thermal baths.

You can find our products in the summer (June to mid-October) at the farmer's market in Bad Hofgastein, on our mountain pasture (Grußberg mountain hut), or directly from us at the farm. Since we don’t always have all the products in stock, we would ask you to contact us before your visit!
In our barn live two pigs, rabbits and cats right next to 6-8 dairy cows and several calves. Our farm dog Chicco also helps us out with the cows
During the summer months our cows, calves and Chicco can all spend time on our mountain pastures!
