About Us
We are a family business with tradition in the sunniest village in Austria - Mariapfarr. Quietly situated on the edge of the forest and only a 5-minute walk from the center of Mariapfarr, the farm is the ideal place to relax and unwind. We have been running the farm organically since 1991.
There are 3 cozy vacation apartments on the farm, as well as the newly renovated Villa Hansalhof with 1 vacation apartment. As a small highlight, you can enjoy free entry to the outdoor pool in Mariapfarr, as well as the sauna facilities of the SAMSUNN vitality and wellness center.
We are a horse-enthusiastic farm and thanks to our location we have fantastic opportunities for rides in the countryside. We have ventured into breeding Icelandic horses and are now the proud owners of around 14 Icelandic horses and a tiger pony.
Our location offers you the ideal starting point for all activities around Mariapfarr and the entire Lungau region with its 13 side valleys.
In summer, the surrounding area offers numerous opportunities for hiking, mountaineering or mountain hikes. Farmer's wife Doris will be happy to give you a tip or two for an interesting hike. With the LungauCard, numerous activities can be used free of charge or at low cost, such as mountain railroads, sights, museums or swimming pools.
And in winter, the Lungau is synonymous with snow fun. The ski areas of Fanningberg, Großeck-Speiereck, Aineck-Katschberg and Obertauern are in the immediate vicinity (5-20 km away). The stops for the free ski bus are 300 m away. Mariapfarr even has a guaranteed cross-country ski trail, the Höhenloipe Lignitztal, which is also covered with technical snow.
