About Us

Skiing, snowshoe hiking, ski touring, building snow castles or simply just cosying up in the warm lounge – you can do all this with us.

In winter, Martin will bring you to the lodge by the Ski-Doo with trailer. There are two ways to reach the Riesneralm Ski Resort, either by going down to the valley or following a light ascent for around 15 minutes, from where you can strap on your skis and set off on the ski run. After your day spent skiing, you can ski back to the lodge's front door. Unfortunately, skiing to the lodge is not suitable for beginner skiers.

In the summer months, approx. 70 mother cows with calves and young cows graze on our mountain pasture. Around 200 sheep roam around on the summits and our livestock farmer Franz is accompanied by his Tyrolean mountain goats.

The Sennerhütte can be reached in a 10-minute walk. Our Franz knows many stories and always has a good bottle of schnapps in his lodge.

Our hunting lodge has 4 bedrooms (2 x 2-beds, 2 x 3-beds), a stone pine lounge with satellite TV, couch and seating area and bathroom. The very spacious, fully equipped kitchen features a wooden stove which can be used to heat the entire lodge. In addition, a fridge-freezer, coffee machine and more are available. The large dining table offers plenty of space for everyone. Garden furniture as well as a terrace with loungers can be found in front of the lodge. Naturally, there is also a barbecue for spending some cosy time together.
