• Milk - Our organic hay raw milk (organic hay milk supplier since 2019!) is also marketed directly. The organic bakery Bauer from Mühlbach am Hochkönig delivers its tasty ice cream creations from our organic hay raw milk to the Prater in Vienna.

Stroking, watching and getting to know the animals is always a special adventure for young and old. Our animals look forward to having company.

Since 2019 we have been the first certified Archehof in the Hochkönig holiday region, where we have been breeding Hucul horses, Alpine stone sheep, Sulmtal chickens and original pinzgauer cows since 2017.

The Noriker horse on the other hand has been at home at Kniegut for ages.

• The Hucul horses are used for daily children's rides with our house guests and for FEBS (Fantasy, Experience, Movement, Play) as well as for breeding. What we appreciate most about this breed is their sure-footedness in the terrain, their hard hooves, their frugality and robustness and what is most important when working with children: their patience and calmness as well as the low flight instinct of these horses.
  We currently have three mares and one gelding at our farm. The stallions needed for breeding come from Hungary and, just like our mares, are registered in the main stud book.

• What we like about our "Sulmtaler Hühnern" (hens) is the nice and pretty appearance of the flock with their boss "Hektor". The slightly smaller but very tasty eggs are always a highlight at the breakfast table of our guests.

• We have chosen the "Alpine Steinschafe" (sheep) because they are very loyal to the location and have a very good meat quality. The meat does not have this typical "sheep taste", which is especially pronounced with older sheep of other breeds, but when an Alpine Steinschaf gets older it rather develops a taste similar to "venison" and our customers appreciate the low fat content. The sheep's wool is used in our biologically managed house garden, as well as in the raised beds of our friends for biological pest control, which is highly praised.

• Since 2017 cows of the breed "Original Pinzgauerkuh" have been coming and going in and out of the barn. These cows are not only beautiful to look at, but due to their small-framed and robust nature they are also very suitable for keeping in the mountains.
