About Us
Our renovated farm, the Kürbishof lies framed by gently sloping hills in the Styrian spa and volcanic region and offers spacious holiday apartments and comfort rooms. The traditional farmhouse atmosphere is created by solid wooden furniture, larch wood flooring, and lovingly arranged rooms and apartments. The rooms are heated with wood from our forests. In our fields we cultivate Styrian pumpkin oil, corn, soja and grain. For our children and guests' children there are rabbits as well as a large space all around the farmyard for running about or sunbathing.
There are two new holiday homes in the vineyard. "Das Weinberg", (traditional wine farm building), and "das Nussberg", a modern holiday home in the vineyard. From here you can enjoy a marvellous view of the wide Raabtal valley with its corn and pumpkin fields, as well as of the vineyard opposite ours, as far as the majestic Riegersburg Castle.

Delicacies made from our Styrian pumpkin seeds
Styrian pumpkin seed oil:
Exquisitely Styrian, of a dark green colour, with an aromatic nut aroma and intensive flavour - this oil is an international speciality. The pumpkin oil pressed from the seeds is rich in biologically valuable fatty acids, vitamins and minerals.
Our farm shop has a variety of regional products on offer: Pumpkin seed oil, pumpkin seeds to nibble in various flavours (salt, natural, vanilla, cinnamon, milk and white chocolate, orange, chocolate mix), pumpkin cream honey, pumpkin pesto, chutneys, pumpkin mix, various jams, pasta, juices, herbal and pine cushions, high-quality wine, and much more.
Our farm comprises a total area of about 40 hectares,
8 ha of which are forest, 1.5 ha meadow, 0.4 ha vineyard and 30 ha arable land (pumpkins, corn, grain).
The forest predominately serves as a source of firewood for the Kürbishof farm and the residential house. Both buildings are heated with an eco-friendly wood chip heating system .
Our idyllic vineyard, lying on the sloping hills of the Nussberg with a view of the entire Raabtal valley and as far as Hungary, produces Sauvignon Blanc grapes of high quality.
This is also where our 2 holiday homes are situated, "das Nussberg", a modern vineyard cabin, and "das Weinberg", a traditional wine farm building.
A few rabbits love affectionate attention.
The neighbours have sheeps, cattles and hens.
