About Us
Our mountain cabin was newly built using Austrian stone pine, spruce and larch. It’s located in the Saualm region high above the sunny village of Diex. From the mountain cabin “Leonhardthütte”, you can take in a breathtaking view of the Görtschitztal valley and the medieval town of Friesach. Hiking trails in the Saualm region, to Hochfeistritz and Diex pass right beside the cabin.
The mountain cabin “Leonhardthütte” is set in a secluded and quiet location at an altitude of 1,200 m surrounded by forests and meadows. The meadow in front of the cabin invites you to relax, unwind and enjoy nature.
The mountain cabin is furnished with beautiful solid wood furniture and a love for detail. On two floors, there’s enough space for four people with a spacious bathroom and two toilets. The photovoltaic system on the roof provides electricity. On chilly days, you can heat the beautiful tiled stove or use the infrared heating. This allows us to offer the mountain cabin for rent the whole year round.
It’s possible to go straight to the mountain cabin by car. If you’d like to have a chat or get to know the locals, you can visit us on our organic farm. It’s only a 10 minutes’ walk. We are looking forward to meeting our guests!
