About Us

The Mechte huts were re-edified with lots of love and personal commitment, comfortably and tastefully equipped. This gorgeous hut site is a central starting point for hikes on Katschberg – both on the Carinthian and on the Salzburg side. Even an excursion to Lake Millstatt is possible without a great deal of effort.

The hut has a standalone location with its own fish pond.

Here at 1,700 m above sea level, you can find peace to relax and you can enjoy the comfort in our hut. You can especially relax at our large terrace.

Fully-equipped eat-in kitchen with very large dining table & sitting area, wooden stove (single-story heating), gas camping cooker, warm water, running water, large pantry, electric cooling bag (for meat); vestibule with wardrobe and shoe cabinet.
